Needles are designed for cross stitch on counted fabrics (Aida, etamine (even), linen, etc.)

Each size (22, 24, 26) corresponds to a different eye width for use with different amounts of floss.

Needles #22 are best suited for embroidering on 11 count Aida (~4 crosses / 1 cm) or uniform 22-25 count canvas.

And also for embroidering with 3-6 folds of floss or Perlé 5.

This needle size is also suitable for embroidery with ribbons on counted canvas.
